You could either use real or fake acorns for this craft. Fake acorns come in a couple of different colors, varying among manufacturers. Depending on the look you’re going for, you’ll have several kinds to choose from! For a more traditional table, try the realistic brown fake acorns. For a bit more contrast, choose ones with more saturated reds and browns. For less contrast, choose the more yellow looking ones. And if you wanted to be really creative, you could get any kind of real or fake acorns and paint them whatever color you wanted (silver, gold, blue, the list is endless!).
Cute DIY Thanksgiving Napkin Ring
Supplies Needed:
Cardboard tubing/roll
Tan or cream felt
Faux acorns (or real!)
Silk leaves
Twine
Scissors
Hot glue, glue gun
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting the cardboard tubing into three segments. Each segment will be about an inch long.
2. Roll the segment in the crafting felt. Cut it to size and glue it to the tube securely.
3. Add some hot glue to the back of a single silk leaf and press it to the napkin ring.
4. Tie a length of twine around the leaf to look like it is holding it in place.
5. Add a generous amount of glue to the back of the acorns and press them over the twine. I was able to fit two, you may do as little or as few as you wish.
Your napkin rings are now ready to use! Simply roll up your napkin and slide it through the ring for the perfect holiday look!
